Escape to Camp

Every Fall I start missing the short season before it even ends. I have daydreams of going to camps with adirondack chairs, camp fires, and it tends to be around a lake. As a kid I went to camps during the Summer, with the Camp Fire Girls, Camp Cadet, and had so much fun! Locally, we have Camp Adahi which was the location of my fondest memories, where we got to stay in either cabins or my favorite – covered wagons (I’m not kidding!).

I’ve been dying to organize a trip with either family or friends, but I always get intimidated by the organization of it all. But I found some promising locations that I thought I might share, and we can dream together, sound good? And I just might be working on a new card line, feeling inspired!

Camp Wandawega

A dreamy place to vacation in Wisconsin? Wisconsin would have never come to my mind, if I wouldn’t have seen this. But their website and Instagram feed makes me want to pack up and leave now.

Quarry Hill Farms

Seems like the perfect family getaway that isn’t too far from my location in Pennsylvania.

Vinalhaven Island

While this isn’t necessarily a camp tucked into the woods, it’s an island only available by ferry from mid-coast Maine. My sister took me there during one of our visits, and I was smitten! There’s a quarry for swimming, bikes for transportation, and zero cell phone service if I remember correctly.
