I was literally just searching for something, and I stumbled upon an illustrator by the name of loish. Lois van Baarle goes by the name loish, and freelances as an animator and illustrator. Her work baffles me as I despise drawing people or figures. It’s something I could definitely take a class in, or improve upon. But Lois has this talent down to a science, or rather an art. Her subjects are mostly women with cartoon-like appearances crossed with old-fashioned pinup ladies. I picked a few from her portfolio, but definitely go browse through her many wonderful examples.
