I can’t get enough of new artists and new work, especially when it hails to the arts of the past. Duke Riley is an artist and patriot with work ranging from works on paper and mosaics, to scrimshaw and tattoos. You can view an amazing selection of this work on his website in the Flat File section, but also view some of his process on commissioned projects in the Projects section. The style of his illustration I want to say are primitive, but the works themselves are complex and vigorous. I am a fan out of the gate, and would really like to see his work in person. I see some of his work has been to Philadelphia, so maybe I can catch it next time? Until then, his website will have to soothe my craving.
